Bone Health Plus (COST: $49.00)

Directions: 5 capsules per day for women, 4 capsules per day for men. You can take with meals.

Why take this supplement:
This is designed for supporting bone density and wellness throughout life. Calcium is also important for teeth, muscle contraction, and nerve conduction. Calcium and magnesium can reduce muscle spasms.
Calcium is recommended for all women and especially those pre/post menopausal.

Ingredients:
• Calcium Hydroxyapatite is an elemental form of calcium and has additional components to support bone remodeling.
Calcium citrate is more than twice as bioavailable as the more commonly used (and cheaper) form of calcium carbonate. Calcium citrate is also more absorbed by older people who often have less stomach acid.
• Magnesium plays critical roles in bone formation and helps with calcium absorption.
• Silica and silicic acids are useful for strengthening hair, nails, cartilage, bone and teeth, and to increase calcium absorption.
• Zinc is involved in the production of enzymes that recycle worn-out portions of bone protein and for the healing of injured bones.
• Boron assists with calcium absorption and bone formation and has shown anti-osteoporotic activity. It is especially effective in the presence of deficiencies in vitamin D, magnesium, and potassium.
• Manganese is essential for bone growth, fat metabolism and synthesis of protein, nucleic acids and cartilage. Manganese helps to keep calcium soluble or bioavailable, and like Vitamin C & zinc, assists with calcium absorption.
• Copper is needed in the biosynthesis of bone and connective tissues.
• Vitamin K2 (MK7) plays a significant role in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease.
• Vitamin D3 is the principal regulator of calcium homeostasis, and involved in skeletal development and bone mineralization. Vitamin D is also essential for promoting calcium absorption in the gut.

Cautions:

These supplements are generally considered quite safe for most people. However, as with all chemicals, there are some people who are sensitive to specific components. No contraindications are known but potential drug interactions may exist. Please consult your medical doctor if you have concerns regarding your medications.

• Avoid in Hypercalcemia or those with calcium-containing kidney stones.
• Does NOT contain gluten, soy, dairy, wheat or yeast.
